What’s included with Smart Hard Wired Doorbell Installation?
This Service is only suitable for Customers with an existing, working wired doorbell.
Unwire and remove your existing doorbell; mount, drill and wire your new doorbell If relevant, configure the device to give you real time alerts when you have visitors Fully working Wi-Fi with good signal must be present within 9m of your preferred installation location and the Wi-Fi password available. The battery pack(s) included with the product must be charged prior to the service being carried out
How do I check if my existing doorbell is wired or not?
If your doorbell is hard wired, you will typically see wires on or around your door frame. There may also be a fixed chime, again with wiring linking it and your doorbell. If your doorbell is not hardwired, we will proceed for non-wired smart doorbell installation service.
What do I need to do before my smart doorbell installation?
On the day of your smart door bell installation appointment, you need to make sure that you have your smart door bell with charged battery packs available (not applicable if you have ordered your doorbell with this service, your Wi-Fi password and that the area around the door is clear for the professional to work in. Your pros will bring all the necessary tools to carry out the installation as efficiently as possible, and clean up the packaging afterwards placing it in your refuse/recycling bin. Please note that the installer will only be able to replace an existing hard wired doorbell, this service does not include first time door bell installation and does not include the cost of a smart door bell. If your installer requires parts or materials to complete the job, these will be quoted for and charged additionally on the day of the job.
